TEE SHIRT BLANKET

I have finally finished my tee shirt blanket!  I have been working on it on and off for years and with the proper motivation (and the right pair of scissors) I finished!  I learned how to rag quilt about 4 years ago at a Relief Society meeting and made a lap quilt that I use quite often and realized how perfect it would be for a tee shirt blanket.  It's just the right amount of comfy, relaxed, and display.  Excited to have something to sit on at Madie's soccer games next year and pretty much anytime!  Now I just have to decided what I want to do with my college shirts that have been sitting in a drawer for years.

My Fair Lady

Western Nevada Musical Theater Company presents...

Western Nevada Musical Theatre Company, Carson City, NV | My Fair Lady Ascott

I went with a friend to see the amazing performance of  My Fair Lady.  It was phenomenal!!!  It made me think about all the musicals I watched as a child and why I loved them.  Now I have to say that I hate the Henry Higgins/Eliza relationship even though there are times when I really love them individually.  Now I really want to have a musical marathon!!!

New goals and Sausage, Lentil, and Kale Soup

Now that I am officially 28 years old I feel that I need improve on somethings and President Thomas Monson said "When performance is measured, performance improves. When performance is measured and reported, the rate of improvement accelerates."  So I'm going to use this platform to report my performance about some of the following goals.

1. Eat less processed foods.
2. Record more of my life and what I'm doing aka blogging and journaling.
3. Complete projects.
4. Read more.

Today I made Sausage, Lentil, and Kale Soup and paired it with sourdough cracked wheat toast and milk.  I haven't cooked with kale before but tried a kale soup at a friend's house and thought it was tasty although a little odd to have so much leafy green in a soup.  This soup was really good.  I added some garlic to the onions and didn't cook the lentils as long as I probably should have but seeing that it was my first soup with kale and lentils I think it was a success and there is plenty of it leftover for lunches!
